STUDIO POLICIES

In an effort to ensure every dancer has the best experience at Premier Dance Studio, the following policies will be strictly enforced.

  1. Students must arrive at least 5 minutes before class.
  2. Students who are not adequately prepared or are late to class will only observe.
  3. Parents may QUIETLY observe any and all classes.
  4. Students must be picked up from the studio within 15 minutes of the conclusion of their classes.
  5. Please notify the studio in advance of a class absence.
  6. Missed classes may be made up in another class of similar age and level.
  7. All monthly tuition payments are to be paid in full at the first lesson of each month.
  8. Payments made after the 10th of the month are subject to a $10.00 surcharge.
  9. Students may be asked to sit out of class if tuition is not received by the 15th of the month.
  10. Tuition is based on a four-week month. Tuition will be the same whether it is a three or five week month.
  11. There are NO PRO-RATED FEES for missed classes or holidays. There will be NO REFUNDS for classes missed, with the exception of private and semi-private lessons when a 24 hour notice is given.
  12. All students will abide by the Premier Dance Studio Dress Code.
  13. Students should arrive dressed ACCORDING TO THE DRESS CODE and with all necessary hair accessories and extra shoes in a dance bag. Students’ names should be on every item. Premier Dance Studio will assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or misplaced items.
  14. All costumes are ordered during the month of January. Costume orders are placed only for costumes paid in full at the time of ordering. NO EXCEPTIONS. Dancers will be “sized” for costumes during the first week in January. Any student requiring a size larger than CXL, large adult or a special order may be subject to additional charges. Costume payments do not include shoes or tights. Once costumes are ordered, there will be no refunds.
  15. If a student is absent for more than three classes during the months of May and June for reasons other than illness/injury, they may not participate in the annual recital.
  16. In the case of a withdrawal from Premier Dance Studio, the director should be notified immediately if a child must withdraw from a class. Until such time, the space will be held for the student and the charges invoiced to the parents or guardians. Any fee in arrears will also be assessed.
  17. If a student needs to be excused for any reason during class, they must ask permission of the teacher. No child will be released on their own accord. For early dismissal, the parent must make arrangements prior and come to the door to retrieve the child. This is a matter of safety.
  18. Students will respect their teachers and never disrupt a class.
  19. Parents will make an appointment to speak with a teacher and never approach them between classes.
  20. Food, chewing gum, drinks (other than water) are not allowed in the classroom.

  22. Violation of any of the above policies may result  in a student being asked to leave the studio.
